Epic Adventures

Maybe it's the lack of sleep, the cold, hardcore snowboarding, or the combination of all three that have landed me sick yet another time, but the Sudafed is finally kicking in and I can breathe again. So instead of doing a video blog for this one, I'm going to write :)
As the title says, "Epic Adventures," it really had been that.
The last couple of days have consisted of making 4 new friends, randomly, of course- in the bus station, loads of fresh powder, taking in two travelers, playing American games, hitting some of the sickest runs yet, trying to get my 360 back, an unintentional front flip that I actually landed, having to hitch to a train station because I got lost and ended up on the wrong side of the mountain, InteGre, only 7.5 hours of sleep in two nights, speaking so much french my brain hurt, a body that feels like I just got hit by a bus, and an exam that I didn't a. study for, or b. finish. I have to say it's been a pretty darn good few days!
Shredding through that untouched powder made me realize how much I love my life and how blessed I really am. I was gliding... soaring on this mountain. The view was spectacular. I was so high up, the clouds were floating beneath me. I couldn't do anything but breathe in the fresh air and take in life... right up until I hit a rock and fell, lol. Thankfully the snow felt like a cushion and I just laid there, laughing at myself.
At this moment, I couldn't imagine God giving me any more gifts... I think He's already given me enough. It's strange to think... there were times in my life that I felt like I was never going to make it out of sorrow, pain, or get through the bad times... but in the end, we can never feel happiness unless we've felt sorrow, we can never be healed unless we've been hurt, and we can never appreciate the good times unless we've experienced the bad.
My thoughts for today: Live your life the way you know is going to be the most rewarding, really do treat people the way you would want to be treated, and reflect on life a little more each day. You'll find you have more things to be thankful for than you thought.
